Tacoma, WA – Victim Identified in Deadly Motorcycle Crash on I-5 Near 56th St

Tacoma, WA (August 26, 2025) – On August 25, officials identified Joshua L. Reno, 46, of Olympia, as the victim of a deadly motorcycle crash in Tacoma.

The fatal collision occurred on Saturday, August 24, around 2:20 p.m. on Interstate 5 near 56th Street. Joshua Reno was riding his motorcycle northbound when a 21-year-old Tacoma woman driving a 2015 Ford Fusion reportedly changed lanes all of a sudden and struck him. The crash threw him into the left shoulder barrier, where he died instantly from his injuries.

State Patrol troopers and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office later notified Reno’s family.
