A car wreck is not uncommon; in fact, 3 million people are hurt in traffic accidents per year, while more than 40,000 end up losing their lives.
Car accidents are the main cause of death among people ages 15-20 in the US. Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that more than 94% of auto collisions in the United States are caused by negligent driving.
Negligent driving is extremely dangerous, taking the lives of tens of thousands of people per year. For example, over 11,000 people are killed annually in speeding accidents, and 12,000+ individuals are killed in traffic collisions each year caused by intoxicated driving.
Those who are hurt in crashes caused by negligence often end up racking up expensive hospital bills due to suffering serious injuries.
