Seattle, WA - SUV Crashes Into Mioposto Restaurant, Causes Injuries

Seattle, WA (July 6, 2025) — A busy Friday night at Mioposto in Ravenna took a frightening turn when an SUV barreled through the front of the restaurant, injuring several patrons and severely damaging the building.

According to a post shared on social media by the affected restaurant, on July 4 the vehicle plowed into the dining area while the restaurant was full of guests. Photos from the scene show extensive structural damage, with the entire front facade destroyed.

Seattle police responded to the incident around 8:20 p.m. and confirmed that a white 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe had run a red light before slamming into the restaurant. Several people sustained injuries due to the incident, according to reports. Seattle Fire Department determined that the building was unsafe to occupy due to gasoline leaking from the SUV into the premises.

First responders evaluated the driver at the scene and confirmed that impairment was not a factor. The vehicle was removed by a tow truck, and police indicated that the driver will be cited. Civil litigation and significant financial consequences may follow.
