Tacoma, WA - Auto Collision Results in Injuries on SR-16 near 19th St

Tacoma, WA (April 19, 2025) - Shortly before 7:00 a.m. on April 19, a car crash happened in Tacoma that ended in injuries and delays. Police and EMS were seen working at the crash scene on State Route 16 near 19th Street.

The eastbound lanes of the road were closed while responders worked in the area, and local drivers were urged to find alternate routes. At least one individual was taken to the hospital for treatment after they sustained injuries in the wreck. Fire assistance, medical aid, tow assistance, and the Washington State Patrol were all present at the scene. Police in Tacoma continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
