Washington Pedestrian Accidents

Kent, WA - Man Hit by Car, Killed on Central AvePedestrian-related accidents in Washington State have become a growing concern in recent years. Fatalities have risen significantly—from 103 in 2018 to 136 in 2022—marking a 32% increase. While the number of serious injuries has remained relatively steady, with 408 reported in 2022 compared to 400 in 2018, the upward trend in deaths is alarming and calls attention to the vulnerability of pedestrians on our roads.

Nationwide, the situation is just as troubling. More than 7,500 pedestrians are killed annually in traffic collisions across the U.S. Pedestrians are among the most unprotected individuals on the road—lacking the barriers of a vehicle to shield them from the devastating force of a crash. A single moment of driver inattention or recklessness can result in lifelong consequences or unimaginable loss.

If you or someone close to you has been seriously injured—or if you’ve tragically lost a loved one—in a pedestrian accident, you may feel overwhelmed, heartbroken, and unsure of where to turn. The emotional and financial toll can be staggering, especially when high medical bills, funeral costs, and lost income start to pile up.

When negligence is involved, it’s important to understand your rights. A personal injury or wrongful death claim can help you seek justice and the compensation needed to move forward—whether to cover end-of-life expenses, medical treatments, pain and suffering, or other damages.

At Freeman Law Firm, our experienced legal team is here to help you take the next steps with care and confidence. We understand the emotional weight that comes with losing a loved one and are committed to fighting for those left behind. Washington Traffic Accidents

Tacoma, WA - Injury Collision on US-12 near Solki RdCar crashes remain a serious concern across the country, and Washington state is no exception. Every day in the U.S., more than 17,000 traffic collisions occur, leaving around 7,500 people injured — that’s over 700 accidents and 300 injuries every single hour. Tragically, an average of 100 lives are lost daily in vehicle-related incidents. In Washington alone, recent reports show that more than 700 people died in traffic accidents in a single year.

Many of these devastating events are linked to preventable behaviors. Driver negligence is one of the top culprits, with distracted driving leading the charge, responsible for over 400,000 crashes annually. Other major causes include speeding, driving under the influence, and driver fatigue. Each of these actions puts lives at risk and contributes significantly to the toll of injuries and fatalities.

If you or someone close to you has suffered injuries in a car crash, there’s a strong possibility that negligence played a role. Recovering from a collision can be physically and emotionally draining, and the financial burden from medical treatment, lost income, and property damage can make things even harder. That’s where a personal injury claim comes in. With the guidance of an experienced car accident lawyer in Tacoma, you may be able to pursue compensation to help ease the financial and emotional strain.

Washington Motorcycle Crashes

Motorcycle accidents in Washington State continue to take a devastating toll on families each year. With thousands of motorcycle crashes reported annually, far too many end in tragedy. In recent years, Washington has seen a rise in fatal motorcycle collisions, where the consequences are not just injuries—but the heartbreaking loss of life.

Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users. With less physical protection than drivers of enclosed vehicles, riders are far more likely to suffer severe or fatal injuries in the event of a crash. In fact, motorcyclists are nearly 28 times more likely to die in a traffic accident than those in passenger vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Many of these deadly accidents are caused by driver negligence—including failure to yield, distracted driving, speeding, and intoxication. When a car or truck driver makes a careless decision, the consequences for motorcyclists can be irreversible. The sudden, senseless loss of a loved one in a motorcycle accident can shatter a family’s world in an instant.

If you’ve recently lost a spouse, child, parent, or sibling in a motorcycle crash that you believe was caused by another driver’s reckless or negligent actions, know that you are not alone. At Freeman Law Firm, we understand the unimaginable grief that comes with such a loss—and we’re here to help you seek justice and accountability.

While no legal action can bring back the person you love, filing a wrongful death claim can ease the financial burden left behind and help protect others from similar harm. Our compassionate attorneys offer free consultations and work on a contingency-fee basis, meaning you pay nothing unless we recover compensation for your family.

Call us today at 206-880-2454 to speak with a skilled and understanding wrongful death attorney in Snohomish. We’ll guide you through your legal options and provide the support you need during this incredibly difficult time. Let Freeman Law Firm help you honor your loved one’s memory by standing up for the justice they deserve.

Car Accidents in Washington

Stanwood, WA - Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-532Every year, thousands of lives are upended by motor vehicle accidents across Washington State. In 2023 alone, more than 800 people were killed on Washington’s roads. Nationwide, traffic collisions claimed the lives of over 40,000 individuals. Among the most vulnerable on the road are motorcyclists, who face a significantly higher risk of injury or death in a crash due to the lack of protection offered by a vehicle.

In recent years, motorcycle fatalities have been on the rise. Across the United States, over 6,000 motorcyclists were killed in traffic accidents in a single year. In Washington, motorcycle riders represent a disproportionately high percentage of traffic deaths compared to the total number of registered motorcycles. Despite accounting for just 3% of vehicles on the road, motorcyclists make up nearly 15% of all traffic fatalities in the state.

Whether it’s a motorcycle or car crash, driver negligence continues to be the leading factor in most collisions. Speeding, intoxication, distracted driving, and fatigue are common causes. Alarmingly, speed-related crashes alone took over 11,000 lives in one recent year. When someone chooses to drive recklessly, they’re endangering not just themselves but everyone around them.

For those left behind after a fatal crash, the pain is overwhelming. Losing someone you love, especially under preventable circumstances, can be emotionally and financially devastating.
