Auburn, WA - Two Hospitalized After Truck Crash on B St

Auburn, WA (February 3, 2025) - Two people were sent to the hospital after a traffic accident involving a car and a flatbed trailer in Auburn. The wreck was reported to first responders on Sunday afternoon, February 2. Puget Sound Fire, Valley Regional Fire, South King Fire & Rescue, and King County Medic One responded to the scene in the 2300 block of B Street Northwest shortly after the incident occurred.

Police say a vehicle left the road and collided with a flatbed trailer parked outside the Commercial Metals Company building. One person was trapped inside the wreckage and had to be extricated. Fire crews worked for approximately 30 minutes to free the individual from the vehicle. That victim was transported to a hospital in Seattle by King County Medic One. A second victim was treated and taken to the hospital by ambulance. At this time, the names of those involved have not been reported as police continue to investigate the incident.

We hope for the full recovery of the injured victims.

Washington Truck Accidents

Auburn, WA - Two Hospitalized After Truck Crash on B StCar accidents have become a serious problem in the US, especially in the past decade. On average, over 6 million traffic collisions are reported per year in the United States. These wrecks cause injuries for approximately 3 million people and take the lives of roughly 40,000 per year. Alarmingly, the majority of American car accidents are preventable and caused by negligent driving.

Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that approximately 9 out of 10 reported auto accidents are caused by negligent driving. Distracted driving is currently the most common, causing over 400,000 collisions per year. Sadly, around 3,000 people are killed annually in these wrecks.

Semi-trucks are involved in approximately 9% of auto accidents in the United States every year. These collisions often end in serious injuries or fatalities for those involved. When large commercial trucks become involved in traffic collisions, they often cause serious damage due to being 20 to 30 times larger than passenger vehicles. Victims who are hurt in these crashes usually end up in the hospital where they must undergo extensive and expensive medical care in order to recover. Unfortunately, over 5,000 people lose their lives each year in semi-truck accidents in the US.
