Monroe, WA - Multi-Vehicle Accident Turns Fatal on Stevens Pass Hwy

Monroe, WA (April 16, 2025) – A fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred in Monroe on Wednesday morning, April 16. At approximately 9:30 a.m., the collision occurred near Fern Bluff Road on Stevens Pass Highway. One person was trapped inside their car at the scene, according to reports. The Washington State Patrol says at least one individual lost their life in the crash, though no one involved has currently been identified. All lanes were blocked while responders worked at the scene, and police in Monroe are working to determine the details of the incident. Traffic delays ensued in the area while emergency crews were present, and local motorists were asked to seek alternative routes.
