Our thoughts are with the injured victims. We hope for their full recovery.
Car accidents remain one of the most pressing public safety concerns in the United States, especially over the past ten years. Each year, more than 6 million collisions occur nationwide, injuring roughly 3 million people and claiming the lives of over 40,000. In Washington State, thousands of traffic accidents are reported annually, many of which stem from driver negligence.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that an overwhelming 94% of all traffic accidents in the U.S. are the result of human error. Distracted driving is at the top of the list, contributing to over 400,000 crashes per year. Other frequent causes include impaired driving, driver fatigue, and excessive speed, all of which significantly raise the risk of a serious crash.
For victims, the aftermath of a crash can be both physically and financially draining. Injuries like fractures, spinal trauma, whiplash, and traumatic brain injuries are common, often requiring long-term medical care. The medical expenses alone can quickly soar into the tens of thousands, not to mention the lost income and emotional toll.
