Tacoma, WA - Car Wreck Ends in Injuries on SR-702

Tacoma, WA (May 11, 2025) - A major car accident was reported to police in Tacoma on May 11. At around 2:41 p.m. on Sunday, police and EMS were dispatched to the scene of the incident on State Route 702.

Vehicles collided near 40th Avenue South under circumstances still being investigated by local authorities. One or more people received emergency medical care at the scene. The westbound lane of the roadway was blocked while responders worked to clear the wreckage from the area and render aid. Police in Tacoma are currently working to determine the cause of the wreck.
