Seattle, WA (May 17, 2025) — A multi-vehicle collision on the Aurora Bridge, just south of North 34th Street, disrupted traffic during the Thursday morning commute. The incident occurred on May 15, around 8:00 a.m., involving several vehicles and leading to significant delays in both directions on State Route 99.
Emergency responders, including Seattle Fire Department and Seattle Police Department personnel, arrived promptly to assess the situation and assist those involved. At least two individuals sustained injuries in the crash.
At this time, those involved in the accident have not been identified as police in Seattle continue to investigate the details of the incident.
We hope for the full and rapid recovery of the injured victims.
Car accidents can change lives in an instant—physically, emotionally, and financially. Each year, more than 3 million people across the U.S. suffer injuries in vehicle collisions. In Washington State alone, thousands are hurt and hundreds tragically lose their lives on the road. Many of these devastating incidents are caused by careless drivers who fail to operate their vehicles responsibly.
Motor vehicle accidents remain one of the leading causes of death for teens and young adults aged 15 to 20. Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows that over 93% of crashes are tied to human error. Speeding, distracted driving, fatigue, and driving under the influence continue to top the list of contributing factors. In fact, speeding alone is responsible for more than 11,000 deaths annually.
Beyond the physical pain, crash victims often face a tidal wave of expenses—medical costs, lost income, and ongoing care—all of which can take a toll on entire families. If you or a loved one has been injured because of someone else’s negligence, taking legal action is a key step toward recovery.
