Anacortes, WA (June 23, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon, June 20, brought traffic to a halt on Oakes Avenue near the intersection with Anacopper Mine Road, prompting a swift response from emergency crews in Anacortes.

Firefighters, paramedics, and other aid units arrived quickly at the scene to provide assistance. Both vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage and had to be removed by tow trucks.
