Puyallup, WA (July 28, 2025) - A 50-year-old woman is facing vehicular homicide charges after a fatal wrong-way crash on State Route 410 near Sumner, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers say the incident began early Sunday morning, July 27, when they received reports of a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on SR 167. The driver then entered SR 410, continuing eastbound in the westbound lanes.
The vehicle ultimately slammed head-on into another car carrying two occupants just west of Valley Avenue, authorities said.
At least one person lost their life as a result of the accident. At this time, the identities of those involved have not been reported.
