Washington Car Wrecks

Loon Lake, WA - Multi-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 395 Results in InjuriesCar accidents remain a major public safety concern in Washington State, with thousands of people injured each year on the roads. From high-traffic corridors like I-5 and I-90 to winding rural routes and busy city streets, injury-causing crashes affect drivers, passengers, and pedestrians in every corner of the state.

In recent years, Washington has experienced an alarming number of serious traffic collisions. Many of these accidents result in life-altering injuries—ranging from broken bones and internal trauma to spinal cord damage and traumatic brain injuries. These aren’t just statistics—they’re painful realities for individuals and families whose lives can change in an instant.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), human error is a contributing factor in over 90% of vehicle crashes nationwide. In Washington, this holds. Common contributing factors in injury crashes include:

  • Distracted driving, such as texting or adjusting in-car technology
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Driver fatigue, especially on long or late-night trips
  • Speeding and aggressive driving behaviors

These actions not only endanger lives—they often lead to extensive physical, emotional, and financial consequences for victims. Recovering from a serious injury can involve long hospital stays, ongoing rehabilitation, missed work, and lasting psychological effects.
