Every year, thousands of car accidents take place across Washington State, causing life-altering injuries and heartbreaking fatalities. In 2023 alone, the state recorded approximately 800 traffic-related deaths—a stark reminder of the growing concerns around road safety. Tacoma, like many communities in Washington, has felt the impact of these troubling trends.
Nationwide, the numbers are even more alarming. The United States saw over 6 million motor vehicle accidents in 2023, leading to more than 3 million injuries and upwards of 40,000 fatalities. Behind every number is a real person, a family, and a future forever changed.
While some crashes are caused by unforeseen circumstances, the majority are linked to driver negligence. Common causes include distracted driving, impaired driving, drowsiness, and speeding. Speeding alone contributes to more than 11,000 deaths annually across the country, while distractions behind the wheel continue to put countless lives at risk.
If you or a loved one has been seriously hurt in a crash caused by another driver’s reckless actions, you may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn. Medical bills, vehicle repairs, and missed work can add up quickly, creating both emotional and financial stress.
