Cowlitz Co., WA (February 26, 2025) – A collision on I-5 sent a vehicle down a 30-foot embankment on Sunday, February 23. According to information provided by police, the two-vehicle accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. near milepost 54 on Interstate 5 South. One speeding vehicle rear-ended another, sending the rear-ended vehicle into the center median before it stopped on the road. The first vehicle veered off of the roadway and traveled approximately 30 feet down an embankment before stopping. The driver of that vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was transported to a nearby medical center with injuries. Police in Cowlitz County continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
