Douglas Co., WA (May 20, 2025) — A Saturday afternoon crash on Highway 97 left four people injured, including two children, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision occurred around 3 p.m. on May 17, roughly five miles south of Chelan Falls. Authorities say a vehicle heading south on Highway 97 attempted to turn onto Park Place but failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
As a result, a northbound vehicle struck the front passenger side of the turning car.
All four occupants of the northbound vehicle—including children aged 6 and 11—sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed. Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
