Gorst, WA - Three-Car Crash Ends in Injuries on Hwy 3 at W Belfair Valley Rd

Gorst, WA (April 13, 2025) - A wrong-way crash happened in Gorst on Friday, April 11, that resulted in injuries. According to reports concerning the incident, the wreck occurred on West Belfair Valley Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. A Toyota RAV 4 headed the wrong way on Highway 3, hitting two vehicles and causing a third to crash.

The wrong-way driver was reportedly tested for alcohol after the collision. The man, age 35, was headed south in the northbound lanes when he struck a Chrysler 300 head-on. Two individuals were inside the Chrysler at the time of the collision. The RAV 4 and the Chrysler, both totaled, came to a stop just north of the exit to West Belfair Valley Road. A passenger inside the Chrysler was transported to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale with injuries. A fourth vehicle, operated by an 18-year-old woman, struck debris left in the roadway and was forced to pull over. The Belfair man is suspected of driving while intoxicated, as well as operating a vehicle without a license or insurance. Police in Gorst continue to investigate.

We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.

Washington Auto Accidents

Gorst, WA - Three-Car Collision Results in Injuries on Hwy 3 near W Belfair Valley RdEvery day, thousands of drivers across the United States find themselves involved in traffic collisions. In fact, the nation sees more than 17,000 car crashes daily, leading to roughly 7,500 injuries—that’s over 700 accidents and 300 injuries per hour. Heartbreakingly, around 100 people die every single day in these tragic incidents. In Washington state alone, car accidents remain a leading cause of accidental death, with hundreds of fatalities recorded annually. In just one recent year, more than 700 lives were lost on Washington roads.

Much of this devastation can be traced back to driver negligence. Distracted driving, such as texting or using a phone behind the wheel, is the most common culprit and contributes to more than 400,000 collisions each year. Other frequent causes include excessive speeding, driving under the influence, and driver fatigue—all of which continue to take a deadly toll.

If you or someone you care about has been hurt in a car crash, it’s very possible that negligence played a role. On top of physical pain, accident victims often face a mountain of medical bills, lost income, and other financial pressures. Filing a personal injury claim with an experienced car accident lawyer can be a crucial step toward regaining stability.

Victims may be entitled to compensation for a range of losses, including:

  • Lost wages due to missed work
  • Costs to repair or replace a damaged vehicle
  • Current and future medical expenses
  • Pain, suffering, and long-term physical limitations
  • Emotional trauma and mental anguish
