Richland, WA (March 2, 2025) - An off-duty Washington State Patrol officer was arrested on Saturday evening, March 1, in connection with a fatal accident in Richland, near Horn Rapids. Richland Police say a vehicle collided with a motorcycle at approximately 7:40 p.m. on that day.
The off-duty officer was suspected of driving while intoxicated, which led to the fatal collision. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital, where he later lost his life.
