Richland, WA (March 2, 2025) - An off-duty Washington State Patrol officer was arrested on Saturday evening, March 1, in connection with a fatal accident in Richland, near Horn Rapids. Richland Police say a vehicle collided with a motorcycle at approximately 7:40 p.m. on that day.
The off-duty officer was suspected of driving while intoxicated, which led to the fatal collision. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital, where he later lost his life. No additional details surrounding the accident have been reported at this time. However, police in Hordn Rapids continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
