Seattle, WA (June 10, 2025) - A multi-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 near NE 85th Street in the Northgate area caused major traffic disruptions Tuesday afternoon, June 10, with at least one person who sustained injuries.
The crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. and is currently blocking the right travel lane as well as the merging lane from 85th Street. Emergency responders, including Incident Response Teams (IRT), quickly arrived on the scene to assist with injured occupants and clear roadway debris.
Paramedics transported injured victims to local hospitals for treatment from the scene. At this time, the extent of those injuries have not been reported.
Traffic in the area remains heavily congested, and drivers are advised to use alternate routes or expect significant delays as crews continue working to reopen the affected lanes. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
