Tacoma, WA - Auto Accident Results in Injuries on SR-7 near 8th Ave

Tacoma, WA (May 28, 2025) – At least one person was injured in a collision that occurred Tuesday evening on State Route 7 southbound near milepost 46.47, just north of 8th Avenue East in Tacoma.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. and temporarily disrupted traffic as emergency crews responded to the scene. The extent and number of injuries have not yet been confirmed, but authorities report that at least one individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. All lanes were cleared later in the evening, and traffic has since resumed normal flow.
