Tacoma, WA - Auto Collision on 56th St near S Thompson Ave Ends in Injuries

Tacoma, WA (February 22, 2025) - Victims are recovering after an injury accident in Tacoma on Friday evening, February 21. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the wreck on 56th Street near South Thompson Avenue, where they found two vehicles that had been involved in an accident. One vehicle was on its side at the scene.

The individual inside that vehicle was trapped and had to be extricated by fire crews. That person was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries. At this time, the health condition of the victim is unknown as police continue to investigate the reasons for the incident. The road was blocked while responders worked in the area and local motorists were urged to find alternate routes.
