Tacoma, WA - Injuries Caused by Collision on I-5 near S 72nd St

Tacoma, WA (February 12, 2025) – At approximately 6:21 p.m. on February 12, a car crash with injuries was reported to the Washington State Patrol. Responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident on Interstate 5 near South 72nd Street in Tacoma. An unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area and caused injuries to those involved. Those with serious injuries were treated by EMS and taken to the hospital to receive further care. At this time, the nature of the injuries suffered in the accident remains unknown. The road was blocked near milepost 130.11 while emergency crews worked at the scene. Police in Tacoma continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
