Tacoma, WA - Injuries Caused by Collision on SR-518 near 154th St

Tacoma, WA (May 12, 2025) - A car crash occurred in Tacoma on Monday evening, May 12, that ended in injuries. Police say the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of State Route 518 near South 154th Street.

An unspecified number of vehicles collided in the area, blocking the right lane and causing at least one person to sustain injuries. Paramedics treated those in need of medical care at the scene and transported seriously injured patients to local hospitals by ambulance. The names of the victims have not been reported at this time. Traffic delays ensued in the area while responders worked to clear the wreckage from the road, and local motorists were urged to find alternate routes. Police continue to investigate.
