Tacoma, WA - SR-104 Scene of Injury Accident near Garden Gate Ave

Tacoma, WA (June 25, 2025)– A crash on State Route 104 eastbound near Garden Gate Avenue NE left at least one person injured Wednesday afternoon, according to state transportation officials.

The collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. near milepost 21.62, blocking the eastbound lane and causing significant traffic delays in the area. Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported at least one individual to the hospital with injuries. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.

As of 6:30 p.m., the eastbound lane remained closed, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes or expect delays while the Washington State Patrol continued its investigation and cleanup crews worked to clear the roadway.
