Rock Island, WA (February 9, 2025) - At least one person lost their life in a fatal traffic collision in Rock Island on Sunday, February 9. Multiple responders were sent to the scene on Highway 28 near milepost 11 just before 2:00 p.m. Reports show the incident involved a Northwestern Stagelines charter bus that was involved in a crash.
The Washington State Department of Transportation closed the road for emergency response and investigation. At this time, those involved in the accident have not been identified. Police in Rock Island continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
