Lewis Co., WA (April 8, 2025) - On Monday, April 7, a traffic accident with injuries occurred in Lewis County. Reports show the collision occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. when a man from Morton, age 58, was traveling west on US Highway 12 near Silver Creek.
Police informed that he tried to pass traffic, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and collided head-on with another driver. The other driver, an Ocean Park resident, age 35, was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital with serious injuries. The Morton Man also sustained injuries and was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital. Police say unsafe passing was the cause of the accident.
