Washington Car Accidents

Seattle, WA - Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Boylston AveBeing struck by a vehicle is one of the most devastating experiences anyone can face, and unfortunately, fatal pedestrian accidents are all too common across Washington State. Each year, countless pedestrians suffer life-ending injuries on busy streets and highways, with many tragedies linked to driver negligence. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, pedestrian deaths have surged nationwide in recent years, highlighting the urgent need for increased awareness and accountability.

In Washington, pedestrian safety remains a critical concern. Factors such as speeding, distracted driving, failure to yield at crosswalks, and impaired driving all contribute to deadly collisions involving pedestrians. Whether it’s a motorist distracted by their phone, running a red light, or driving under the influence, these negligent actions can have catastrophic consequences. Nationally, speeding-related crashes claim over 11,000 lives annually, while more than 12,000 fatalities involve impaired drivers, many of whom hit pedestrians.

The impact of a fatal pedestrian accident extends far beyond the immediate loss. Families face profound emotional trauma along with significant financial challenges, including funeral expenses, lost income, and the loss of companionship and support.
