Silverdale, WA - Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 3

Silverdale, WA (July 9, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on Highway 3 Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a 21-year-old woman from Belfair, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Authorities reported that a truck merging onto Highway 3 from the Newberry Hill exit struck a disabled vehicle parked on the highway's on-ramp. The victim, who was standing outside her vehicle speaking with a passenger, was fatally struck. A second vehicle was also pulled over nearby and was involved in the collision.

The truck involved was driven by a 64-year-old man from Sammamish. It struck both stationary vehicles during the incident.

Tow trucks arrived at the scene around 2 p.m., and officials anticipated that all lanes would reopen shortly thereafter. Earlier in the day, WSP confirmed that northbound lanes near the Newberry Hill exit were partially blocked as investigators processed the crash involving three vehicles.

Details regarding the cause of the accident have not yet been released. Authorities continue to investigate, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
