Kent, WA - Man Loses Life in Wreck on 104th Ave at 250th Pl

Kent, WA (February 1, 2025) - An 84-year-old man lost his life in a traffic accident in the East Hill neighborhood of Kent on Monday, January 26. According to information provided by police, the wreck occurred along 104th Avenue Southeast near Southeast 250th Place just after 9:45 a.m. Preliminary reports show an MBW SUV was driving recklessly in the turn lane on 104th Avenue just before striking a Ford Ranger truck that was entering the road from a private drive.

Police arrived at the scene where they found the Ford truck in the road flipped onto the driver’s side. Fire crews were able to extract the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Despite paramedics rendering aid to the victim at the scene, the 84-year-old driver lost his life on the way to the hospital. His name has not been reported at this time. Police say the driver of the BMW, identified as a resident of Renton, age 21, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police in Kent continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
