Lake Tapps, WA (May 22, 2025) - A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday evening on 214th Avenue East, according to KOMO News.
The incident began when a 26-year-old man, involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on the 2100 block of 214th Avenue East, fled the scene at high speed. While attempting to escape, he lost control of his vehicle, sliding into oncoming lanes and colliding head-on with a northbound car.
The 25-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle was ejected from his car during the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The other driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities shut down the area temporarily to conduct a thorough investigation and clear the wreckage.
