Kent, WA (March 29, 2025) - A man from Kent, age 56, lost his life and a woman suffered serious injuries after a two-car accident in Kent on Friday night, March 28. Police say the wreck may have been caused by a suspected intoxicated driver.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 9:44 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of 94th Avenue South and South 240th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they had to extricate a man from one of the vehicles who had become trapped inside due to the crash. Sadly, the driver lost his life due to the nature of his injuries. A 41-year-old female passenger, also of Kent, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The second driver, a woman in her late 30s, showed signs of intoxication and was taken into police custody for DUI. Officers confirmed she is currently being investigated for vehicular homicide. The Kent Police Traffic Unit is conducting investigations into the details of the accident.
